Magical Art: Natural Order

The art of the Natural Order is concerned with controlling plants, animals and, to a lesser extent, the weather itself.

Primary Effects:

  • Control the actions of animals.
  • Temporarily augment or reduce the abilities of animals.
  • Influence the natural growth of plants.
  • Predict or control the weather in the area.

Secondary Effects (-5):

  • Animate and control the actions of plants.
  • Control the weather in a very specific and detailed manner, such as making lightning strike a particular person or producing a localized fog.
  • Make plants grow in an unnatural way, such as producing thorns on a plant which normally doesn't have them. This process is very slow (the plant needs time to grow the new parts) but tends to be permanent.
  • Purging an area or a creature of toxins or diseases.
  • Temporarily augment or reduce the abilities of willing, living, intelligent creatures, including their healing rate.

Tertiary Effects (-10):

  • Subtly influence the behavior of intelligent living beings by altering their natural urges.
  • Temporarily augment or reduce the abilities of an unwilling intelligent creature.
  • Banishing Devourers.
  • Make animals grow in an unnatural way, such as grafting wings onto an animal which normally wouldn't have them. This process is very slow (they need time to grow into the changes) but tends to be permanent.

What it can't do:

  • Control or shape specific inanimate objects.
  • Overtly compel intelligent beings.
  • Affect magical creatures such as Salamanders, Undines or Golems.
