Gods & Realms

Here are some vague ideas for gods and realms...

• One utterly mad god, with a barren, inhospitable realm.
• Two or three demon-realms, with gods that have gone mad and turned their avatars into monsters and spend all of their time creating warped and destructive planesfolk.
• One militant god that used to be peaceful and is clearly on the way to madness.
• A pantheon of lesser gods who have banded together to protect the same large realm. Constantly at war with the demon realms, who would love to consume them.
• At least one fairly benign major deity whose forces have managed to stay out of the war for the most part, sealing themselves up behind extensive defenses that are always being increased (because as soon as weakness is shown, that will attract the attention of the aggressive realms).
• Another "good" deity or group of deities that are big on absorbing other realms in order to "protect" them.
